TAKING THE "PHOTO" OUT OF "PHOTOJOURNALIST"

When I first started college, traveling the world and writing important articles that I illustrated with my own photos sounded like the ultimate romantic career. Then I faced the reality that I struggle with the photo part. I can see exactly what I expect in my mind's eye, but I have trouble getting the camera in on my vision.
Because I am relentless, I've taken some magical photos anyway. This is not one of them.
I should have know when I bought a slow shutter app to try to capture the night sky here for you guys that it wouldn't work out very well. Because: No Tripod + Little Skill. But I kinda like this photo anyway. And capturing the Death Star was a bonus!
Anyway, I'm keeping this post short because I want to leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Tonight is the 10th night since I pulled up to this lovely spot, and I haven't left since. I've enjoyed every minute and already have a solid start on my screenplay. But it's time to go stretch the Silverado's legs in an 8-hour round trip to the Great Sand Dunes, because why not, and Trinidad, because it's where our Y2K story took place.
I should have some good bad photos and a story or two for you after that.
Thanks for listening, hugs and kisses.
